Lone female call duck - keeping quiet?

Well that probably is her security right now since she alone my females love the sound of their own voice too and they aren’t alone. Maybe she’ll warm up to the mirror. New things take time to warm up too. No chance of finding another duck? I know we’re under strict stay at home too.

Thankfully she's slept a lot in the sun this afternoon, but noisy as soon as she wakes up. Still ignoring the mirror, but as she moves all over the garden, I can't really move the mirror all the time.

Unfortunately no chance of getting another duck till this lockdown is over. Hopefully she'll start to quieten down soon...trying to spend as much time as I can with her, but difficult as I'm trying to work as well!

I’d just put the mirror in her coop. When @Magnolia Ducks lost her ducks drake she put a mirror inside the coop it was very comforting to her female

She snuggled up to the mirror and talked to the duck in there. I also gave her a stuffed toy.

Worked for a few hours...now she's awake again! :-O
