Haha, yeah I upgraded to some sweetened yogurt mixed into the water. I'm a little worried about crop problems as they spent, and she spends about all of the day laying in an akward way trying to let the leg recover.

She's a fighter and her name gets longer every day as my wife says remembering a longer name will give her something to do with her lonely day.
Its "Little yellow pudding ko defensive tower pizza dough super chewing gum the third".

I'm betting 100% that she makes a nearly full recovery even for the leg.

ha ha. I typed the message and it wouldn't come up then I tried it again it still wouldn't come up. finally I tried one last time and it came up with all of the other messages I wrote.

Did I get a surprise last night. for the past 10 days our lone female has been wandering around calling out for her mate. 10 days ago I heard a loud call at 3 AM, I had found a large group of feathers the next morning and when the male didn't come home I assumed he had been taken.
Last night I went to close the coop and looked in to make sure the hen was there, I saw two of them. Where has the male been for 10 days? And what about the feathers? Could she have escaped from whatever had tried to catch her then hid until she had recovered. Or did she fly away during the attack and get lost, unable to find her way home?
The two are back together. The male is a little quieter than he used to be and they are a little more shy but I don't see any injury or missing feathers, he looks fine other than losing some weight.

Wow, glad to hear the good news!

Maybe he got away with just a couple feathers plucked or lost. They could have been lost from somplace you didnt notice. I know I'd never notice any tail feathers missing from my turkey unless he displays. Then again I'm no professional.
Judging form how the little Houdan recovered from the mouse bite I'd say in 10 days it totally plausable for it to make a recovery and wander back home. After 5 days the chick is not just in general population, she's bullying the rest of the yellow gang. So she's new king of the mini yard.

Just goes to show you never really know what happens until the final act with Poultry.
