Lone Star Tick Control?

My guineas used to share a coop with the chickens. Then I built a bigger coop and moved the chickens to it so they'd have separate housing. Then I got more chickens and needed the space so the guineas now sleep on a roost in the run. Keeping them separate is easier because they free range all day while the chickens don't get to go out until we're home from work.

SunHwaKwon - sorry the garlic didn't work for the dogs. I think it's an accumulated effect.

Another thing that works well for dogs and cats to avoid ticks is to use essential oils. A dab of rose, citronella, and geranium. I use three drops of each on me (on the back of my neck and on my pants near my boot line.) On a dog, one drop at the base of the tail, topside, in the morning. Lasts all day.
