I have a lonely little 2 day old chick that I thought we were losing this afternoon.
It's eyes were closing and it was no longer chirping or even walking around. I was so upset that we didn't get any others to hatch to keep it company and I don't know of anywhere to get another chick. I am getting more hatching eggs, but it will be a long time before we get chicks.
So, I thought, why not put the pair of budgie birds in the same room right by the brooder? Well, within 5 minutes, the noisy birds had that little chick up and eating for the first time and chirping again! I am so thrilled! It almost broke my heart watching it just fade away, it's only solace the large stuffed chick that my daughter donated from her toy bin. Anyways, I thought that this was a cute ending to a sad situation!
