I have a 5-week old roo chick who is so lonely now that his sisters have all gone home with their new families. It's so sad. I put him in a mini-run adjacent to my hens today but at night I had to put him back in the brooder alone. What can I do for him? We are trying to rehome him but no luck yet.

When he is in the brooder you can put a stuffed toy in for him to snuggle with. I always do this with my new chicks while more are hatching. Good luck finding him a home

Maybe it might help to put a mirror in the brooder too.

We only had 2 chicks in my broody's second clutch, so to get them used to more birds being around, we put a large mirror in there. They'd look at the birds in the mirror, and I swear I think they were talking (peeping) to them.

That, plus a stuffed animal might help. Also, it would help if you could spend a little "quality time" with your baby roo..
