Up until last week I had two hens in my chicken coop that were raised together since they were chicks.
I lost one of the hens to a raccoon. Now I only have one chicken.
I know chickens are social animals and I worry that my lone chicken will miss company.
However I also heard that chickens can be very protective of their home. I worry if I get some more chicks and attempt to introduce them to my chicken, they will fight and I'll have a whole new set of problems.
I'm not interested in having 2 coops.
Any advice?
