Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to keep a goose from feeling lonely. Recently, (I think it was on Sunday), one of my geese got killed by my neighbor's dog. Right now I only have one female goose left. I am going to get more geese, but I want to know how to keep her happy while I get more. Any tips?

You might give her a mirror so she can look at herself. But grieving is very much a part of a goose losing its mate and make sure she is eating too. If she likes your company or if you have other birds maybe that would help if she can hang around with them. I sure hope you have let your neighbor know what happened and they are going to compensate you for your loss. And very sorry for your loss.

She is eating, which I am glad for, but she is still not used to me. She is starting to look towards seeing me bit by bit, and more when I call her. She immediately responds back and every day I try to get her some leafy greens for her to eat so she will feel more comfortable.

Sorry for the wait, I was busy. I could not take a good photo of her. The new goose is shy so he keeps running off
