Hello!!!
So I currently have 10 hens, 2 roosters and 6 chicks (two of whom I’m keeping). Of my big chickens, I have 4 standard hens I raised together, 5 bantams hatched and raised together, and two Silkie Roos and one hen raised together. Now they all live in the same coop and get along great. But I can’t keep one of the roosters AND the two new chicks, so I have to rehome the younger rooster. I’m not too upset, he’s going to a good home and he was always jealous of my alpha rooster, Milo, and bullied the hens. But my poor Silkie hen, his sister, loves him so much. They’re always together, and have been their whole lives. She recently started sleeping next to Milo, so maybe she’s starting to loose interest in him, but I’m worried that she’ll be lonely if I rehome the rooster. Do you think she could just befriend the two new chicks and be happy? I’d hate for her to not have any friends.
