I have an older male duck and his girls died last year. He have been hanging with the Geese but I feel bad for him.
I want to get him a couple of girls, I don't want to get anymore than that because I am trying to cut back on my
critters now that I am on Social Security and don't get around like I use to.

I wanted to know, I found a couple of girls I don't know their age yet but I got to thinking if they are too
young will the beat up on him? How long should I quarantine them.
Thanks,
Terri

why don’t you get him a drake friend instead? he still gets another duck, but then you do not have a risk of overmating. as long as there is no girls, drakes will be very happy and be great friends.

Duck Mommy 2019, Great idea I thought they would fight. Thats great I will go forth and find him a boyfriend. Thank you Terri
if you don’t have girls they will love each other. the only time they may fight is while they are getting to know each other, but even girls do that.

i used to have an all drake flock of four and they did great, and then they even accepted my foster duckling who was also a drake. in the future, i would like to have just drakes again
