Hi. New here, but running out of options. Recently two Muskovy ducks showed up in my gated community, since then the female was attacked and killed leaving the male all alone. He wanders up and down my street all day and night. I felt sorry for him and began feeding him, but my neighbors can’t stand him and want him gone. They have since reported me to our HOA for feeding him and want him removed. He has become a staple in my driveway, waiting on me every morning as I leave for work and then again in the evening when I return home. I love him, but understand he’s lonely and should be around other Muscovys. I was thinking of dropping him off in a neighboring community where I see lots of Muskovy‘s but not sure if those ducks will take him into their “social circle” or gang up on him. Does anyone know how that works or have any suggestions on where to bring him? I don’t want him to go to a farm where he will be killed. Thank you in advance for any/all help.

Muscovy drakes do not like new drakes, but they don't gang up on them either. There will be individual fights. I know a girl who raises muscovies, and her drakes all had bald patches from grabbing the feathers on each others' necks. There were no serious injuries.

I'd look for a farm, though. A lot of small farms simply like to have ducks around, and there's not a lot of butchering done. Also, a responsible farmer will oversee integration, so that he can see if there's a problem and the drake needs to be separated or somesuch.
