LONG Chicken Egg ~ (PIC HEAVY)

    I was out picking eggs on yesterday and found this LONG chicken egg. I took several pictures, so you can see how long it is compared to different objects placed on the side of it. I'm sure others have had larger eggs but this is the largest that I have had.

    I got one just about the same as that one yesterday from one of my Leghorns. Such small birds yet man... Glad it's not my job to pump those out. Nice egg mate!

    Woah! That's a long egg!
    Usually around winter or spring when the just start to lay eggs come out goofy looking, sometimes more double yolkers than in the summer. They're booting up for the upcoming year! [​IMG]

    Yeah, my girls just started laying again yesterday and the 2 eggs i got are long and pointed, but somewhat small.

    I've had a few of those, to me their shells are always a bit more thin then the normal shaped eggs. The ones I got were always double yolkers.
