They never are flaring when I snap the photo...

what Kind of Camera are you using? Is the Lens clean? To Make them flare u put a mirror on one side of the tank.. and they are attracted to that.. in some of the vids of the fish online for display purposes, i have noticed a reflection of the person holding the camera

Does it Have a Macro Setting?

Its actually a really cheap camera

Mom had to run out to buy a new one in a hurry because brother & GF took the old one to the hospital when she had the baby and broke it

Mom thinks I dont let it focus either... but the thing *doesent* focus. I even rest my hand against something to try and steady it but it doesent help.
My fishies flare a ton at eachother... but because of the stinkin delay between pressing the button and the actual picture, it never ends up being the picture I pressed the button for

Hmmmmmmm with some cameras if you half press the button down they focus and then another plus with that is there isn't as much of a delay with the picture being taken to push the button down the rest of the way because its already partly focused

And sometimes a Macro setting helps clear them up aswell as it puts things in more detail.

Errr... its button presses really easy... I dont think theres any 'halfway' in it. Stupid thing
