Long Distance Friendships :-(

They look the same size. I like them both.. the first seems in much better shape inside.

With the low prices I could probably get the land cleared soon after, in a way that pleased me (leaving plenty of oaks) and make some improvements in the way of fencing/barns, ect.

Whereas if I got a more expensive property, improvements would be on hold for a while. Though some of those properties already come with buildings/fence, ect. Its a toss up.

There are quite a few that sound really neat, but no pics from them yet.

That's one of the reasons I liked the second one. It came with a fenced in paddock, a 4 car car port thing, and a feed/tack shed already.
My boyfriend is pretty handy when it comes to fixing stuff. With all of us doing stuff to get the place in better shape, it should be easy as long as there's no major damage that need repairs.

One of the older ones I found. This one is 20 acres at the top of the price range.

That one is really nice.
20 acres would be amazing!

But see...
I want MY barns.. My ideas for clearing... my way of laying out the property.

I dont like the way most people arrange things. I dont know why, but it really gets on my nerves.
If I got a place with a weird arrangement.. one day when I was pms'ing I might go rent a bulldozer in the middle of the night and start in on it all.

I'm picky and weird like that. You should see me in the supermarket trying to choose between 2 of the exact same product. I want the one without the dents.
So I thought it would be easiest and calmest all around if I just got something and built it the way I want
hu.gif

Well if that's how you want to do it, you should probably do it that way.
There's no reason to spend tons of money on a property and house that you won't like.
If you're going to go all out, might as well get what you want.

I'm the same way with the product thing. Lol.

Hehe! Do you always get the ones from the back, too?

I was actually talking with mom about this last night... if the plan actually works out and we find the right place, ect... I was asking her how to insure I got my 'layout and asthetics' my way LOL and how to have that yet be fair to everyone else at the same time. If you have any thoughts.....

Haha, yeah. I feel like they hide the good ones back there.

I'm not going to be picky at all. I don't care if I have a huge house or anything. Heck, it doesn't even have to be in excellent condition as long as it's livable.
I'd really like to have a nice barn though. I feel like my animals should have good living conditions.

Me too

And I want to arrange everything in such a way that later, I can intersperse pretty flower gardens and fountains and such throughout. I kind of have a plan
tongue.png
So I want it to look reeeally nice. I want the horses especially to have a good barn. Since my whole plan will probably be years in the making.. I was thinking that if we need to stick up some coops or other things.. we should make them temporary structures. Like, no concrete pads I'll never be rid of if I change my mind about a spot later.
I want, in the end, for the chickens and whatnot to have perhaps gazebo like houses... interspersed with those pretty flower gardens on the windy cobblestone paths.
So you could go sit in this garden and watch these chickens, or that garden and these peacocks... and so on.

Everyone always thinks I'm silly with my ideas

Then I also thought the best way to be fair... was if there was 10 acres or something... let you kind of do your own thing around your house as you like. As long as it didnt involve the downing of trees, racecar tracks, or whatver else boys might come up with
roll.png
(meaning I'm more worried about the bf, LOL)
Its likely going to be years in progress, and it is going to be a farm, so its not like I expect it to be beautiful or perfect to start off with... I just want it to be easy to flow from one project to another... and I want everone to be happy while Im busy being happy and bossy....

If we irrigate the pastures... they will likely be pretty lush. We kept 4 horses on 5 acres down south in goldengate
hu.gif
but 4 of those acres were pasture.
The farm I got Fantasia from.. had all of 5 acres for their whole big farm. About 30 horses. But they designed things VERY smartly. The actual barns, buildings, riding arena, houses ect, were arranged in such a way and with so little wasted space, they had 4 (they were rather small
hmm.png
) pastures they rotated the horses out of all day. The pastures were soooo green, like a lawn.

Anyway.. I wouldnt try *that* but I want the same concept of no wasted space.. and I love to spend my time making little drawings and layouts
tongue.png
my dad was an architect and I suppose I should have been one too, but I didn't think it exciting
hu.gif

So I thought I should finally get those warning out there before we get back from Ocala with stories of properties... I want everyone to be happy too (mom included, LOL).. and I'm not going to be a homeowners asscociation or anything
tongue.png
We can all have whatever animals we want... I just want to be in charge of the layout and asthetics side of things. And the lack of noisy machines side of things... but dogs can bark and chickens can crow all day long if they want
tongue.png

I thought it would be soooo amazingly cool, eventually, to set up some really nice cabins.... and have another nice barn... and have a B&B for horsey people!
But that requires the right size property too... anyway... its a little confusing/fustrating .... but well get it worked out.

Mom thinks everyone should get a vote. Hehe.
gig.gif

Nope, I don't want to vote. Lol.

I did just come across this property. I have no idea what your budget is, but I thought it was pretty.. So it'd be fun to look at at least.

My boyfriend doesn't do any of that stuff. He's a nerd, remember?
lol.png

He yo-yo's and plays video games. No race cars.
tongue.gif

He's good at mowing and such (does landscaping for a somewhat living) so he can keep everything mowed and trimmed.
smile.png

He'll be handy to have around.

I want a rooster..
hide.gif

I can't have one now, but I really want one for my girls.

Can I have a kitty too?
Please?!
