Long Distance Friendships :-(

I hate the concept of money. LOL

If you cant find it, a 1 gallon container works. This little heater is meant for small spaces.

I've kept them in large clear jugs and things before

Its just important the bettas have warm water and if no filter, change the water for fresh every few days.. and they do great!

The petstore bettas often come already sick anyway
sad.png
Those little tiny cups are horrible for them.

As long as they have a little room to move and warmth... they are very happy
smile.png

Apple snails you have likely seen in the stores as 'Mystery snails'. We have a bunch here (we got an order of 25 months ago, and they got bigger!!!)
They are good snails and dont turn into a gazillion snails. They do poop too though, so if no filter you may not want it. But they are fun for me to watch
big_smile.png
But mom doesent like them
roll.png

Two of my larger snails have been mating recently... so I think that means there will be eggs soon
roll.png
- Which means, obviously, I'd like to fop at least one snail off on you
lol.png

It was more a mess!! Yes we had to run out and buy a tank right away for the fish! But we were there when it broke... All of a sudden the sound of rushing water in the living room.
We rushed over and were paddling water out of it as fast as we could to keep the Whole 20 gallons from ending up on the floor

and ran around like chickens with our heads chopped off trying to find containers to throw all the fish into.

I should be able to find it. I don't know what I would've done with it if I didn't keep it.
I got it for a birthday present from my boyfriend's friend, so I definitely wouldn't have just gotten rid of it.

Yup, I'd take a snail. Lol.
They can be in with the fish, right? If so it can keep the little fishie company.
smile.png

Did the water ruin your carpet? I'd be mad if that happened to me.

I don't think Flare likes us anymore.

I'm just sitting here, typing.
I was actually thinking about going to bed here soon. I've got a headache.
hmm.png

On the way home today I almost fell asleep while driving. Only got maybe 4 hours of sleep..
I probably should make sure I get enough sleep if I'm going to be gone all day.

Oh, so I rode my Arabian today. She only tried to bite while being saddled up today. No bucking or rearing either.
She did really good and I was super proud of her. She even went over the dam (with running water going under it) before the other horses did.
big_smile.png

She did get spooked by the geese though, it was pretty funny. Poor girl.
gig.gif

Oh she 'only' tried to bite while being saddled
lol.png
LOL!

I like my horses that dont bite or kick
love.gif

We saved the carpet.

No rush finding it... just do it eventually.. LOL

Yes the snailie can be in with the fishie. Thats where mine are, spread through 3 tanks.

Got them off of Aquabid. They were supposed to be purple ones and magenta ones. They dont look either of those colors.. just pinkish browns
hmm.png
I think maybe I didnt give them the right sanil nutrition while they were growing, LOL.
But I like it cause they keep alage off the glass, to a certain extent. And they eat the extra food if fisie misses a pellet or two. But they do also poop.

They are usually active, if the temps are warm enough. They zoom around my tanks alot.. like little race-snails... eating stuff
lol.png
And they make themselves float at the water surface and spin their foot around to make a whirlpool bits of food get sucked into, then the eat it and make themselves sink when their done
lol.png

I'm booooooored.

I dont have anything to do.

I suppose Ill have to buy another Kindle book, hehe!

Lol. Well, I said 'only' because she's known for reaching around and biting at your leg while you're riding her, which she didn't even try to do today.
I like my horses to be buttheads.
lol.png

She's got a long way to go, but she's getting there. She's 9 years old.

Haha! "race-snails". It'd be funny to come in the room and see the fish and snail racing each other around the tank.
gig.gif

They sound like they're fun to watch. I wanna see one make whirlpools and "race".

Welp, I guess I'm going to head to bed. I feel like death.

I find out whether or not I'm diabetic tomorrow though, which is good.
I'm pretty sure I'm not though, because I eat too many carbs to not be in the hospital already if I was.
But, apparently it doesn't always work like that..

We'll see what happens. I hope it comes back just fine.

Hehe. Ok!

We'll set that up then.. maybe ship you the fishie when we leave for ocala then (that way well have car for taking to post office)
I still have these nice boxes with the insulation from some of my fishie orders to send him and his stuff in.

When he arrives... put his heater in the water first. Hopefully the water wont be too cold at that point (maybe you can out the tank out in a warm afternoon or something) and let it heat up before you try to put him in. This little heater sets itself automatically for 78 degrees. If you close the box up a bit he should stay warm with the insulation in there. The water should be warm enough after an hour or so. They dont like big temperature shocks.
Then you can float him on top of the water for a while, to make sure that whatever temperature differences he has from being shipped change to the temp of the water. I usually float for 15 minutes.. then snip halfway at the top of the bag and introduce a tad bit of water. Wait 5 minutes and put in a bit more... then I fill the bag all the way up and wait another 5. Then you can just tip him out into the water. The plant and the snail will come seperately and you can just throw them in the water, LOL.

Writing stuff is easing my boredom
lol.png

You can keep your buttheads and I;ll have my sweet horses.. hehe!
The most fanny ever like to do was chew on her brush while I was grooming her. I let her get away with it.. because... I have no idea! hehe. I also used to let her walk where she wanted if we were just goofing off on our property.. because I liked to see where she wanted to go. And I would tell her about everything I did that day.

Hehe
