My chickens? They haven't laid eggs yet

My fish? Those eggs weren't fertilised.. as I noted at the time.. because the females were releasing them all on their own from excitement... Mr. Betta was on other side of devider

dont the females display like vertical stripes in their colouring when they are ready to spawn??

Yes! I tried to capture them in the photos of Glitter that I posted.....

I tried a couple times with my other spawning set-up... but the boys kept eating all the eggs

So I'm trying a new set up... that hopefully alleviates their urge to gobble up the eggies
