Two hens today layed long eggs. One is a plymouth who lays one day and skips one day and lays again and so on so fourth. Its winter I understand and than my Australorp egg on the right layer first time today all winter and well both eggs are long. I've had this before were the whole flock just layed long eggs and than it stopped.
Can someone explain 😭I've been meaning to know?

I had two Australorps that laid long eggs all the time. Still managed to hatch chicks from them despite the weird egg shape.

I also have a Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X RIR that lays long eggs.
I've gotten many shapes and sizes. I've gotten jumbo eggs for a week.
