Any members in Suffolk county. I ordered my first chickens We live in the town of Brookaven My husband and I are empty nesters sooo....
Will be picking up six chicks in May. My husband is a little disappointed. He was hoping to get a Polish crested. He likes the hair doo. Anyone know of them for sale on Long Island.

Welcome to BYC - if you have a TSC, check them out. They frequently get Polish in with their bantam assortments.

Tractor Supply Company/ TSC, Southern States, Ace Hardware and a lot of other similar type stores that carry chicken feed will have "chick days" in the spring where they have live baby poultry for sale in the store... like sourland suggested, if you have one near you check if they will have chick days, they might get polish in. We have chickens in Setauket and usually mail order to get good variety. I would love to share an order this spring as I only need a Couple more and they usually won't ship that few
