Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

And by the way, from the price Prince Choco brought, he certainly did not go in the stewpot!

It is a shame there can't be more princes at Brahmalot, though. Even King Samson may leave some day to make room for a new prince! His reign has become a little shaky since trying to kill his father, Old King Rocky, who has never been the same since and has to stay in his own annex now because he cannot get around well and is always in danger of being attacked by his son.

At the moment, Brahmalot has King Samson, Old King Rocky, Prince Marco, Prince Burt, and some younger princes, as well as two court jesters who aren't bothered by the king. The grown kings and Prince Marco are all kept separate to keep the peace. As large as Brahmalot is, you would think they could co-exist, but such is not the nature of kings. They will allow no ruler other than themselves. Soon, even Prince Burt will be in danger and then another decision will have to be made, or another room built onto the castle.

I have that with my faverolles boy Florus... He grew up here, replaced my beautiful Mr. Fluffers who kept the peace... BUT Rod Stewart HATES Florus and tried to kill him early this spring, and very nearly succeeded. Florus walked around with a crooked neck for a few weeks, and had to be confined to his coop until he was able to hold his head straight. Now he is missing his tail... So we have Rod Stewart (head man, silkie/fav cross... ugly sucker, great protector, people safe) Florus (faverolles), Fritz the Jerk (frizzle serema), Pat the Rat (bantam mottled cochin), Ray (golden silkie), Strutter (blue copper marans), Mr. Ed and Blue Boy (both phoenix cockerels) and a few cockerels that are unnamed, and will soon be gone. They free range, and the only time there is fighting is between Florus and Rod. Florus is learning to move his butt fast. LOL

The storms have passed for a couple of days and the citizens are out inspecting the damage to the castle grounds.

Other than quite a few branches, the kingdom appears to be unharmed.

Meanwhile, the children catch a quick treat before returning to the nursery.

Lady Blackie takes a moment to enjoy a treat. It's hard work having sextuplets! Yes, there are six foster babies from the kingdom of Black Copper Maransalot.

Mork is growing fast, finally catching up to his foster brothers and sisters in size. He can fly, which gives him an edge on them when they are playing.
