Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

There was one episode a few weeks ago. A serpent came in the night and killed five of Lady Chrissie's children. This same serpent (it is thought) returned two weeks ago for some eggs. This time he did not leave.

Sorry about the chicks. So the serpent did not leave? At least not alive, I'm guessing. Curse that serpent!

Angry update - stepping out of scribe mode to rant!

Our usual pet sitter wasn't available this weekend, so she sent a replacement. We got home late late late last night, so just went to bed. This morning I found chickens running loose in the back yard, locked OUT of their coop, which means they were unprotected all night! There were about 8 chickens in an unused pen with water but no food. When I let them out, they went straight to the food trough and ate for about 20 minutes!

The other pen that houses Petunia, my little hen who doesn't know she's a chicken, was left wide open overnight!

I don't see anybody missing, although just did a quick head count so far. When I get off work, I will look closer. I'm so angry! My chickens deserve better than this!

I think we were very, very lucky.

Okay, rant over. Back to happy Brahmalot thoughts.

Thank heavens the citizens of Brahmalot were not wiped out. I know that fill-in pet sitter will not be returning to the kingdom, and I imagine the usual pet sitter will be trained how to train a fill-in.

There are a couple of missing citizens of Brahmalot. One was a young knight who was soon to go on quest and had not earned his name yet. The other one was beloved little Princess Marie, seen here with her brother, Donnie. I'm so sorry little one, rest in peace.
