Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

on a lighter note, brahmalot is missing something... a wizard! We may have an excuse for a new character to arrive!

Mork came from an egg from the far-off land of e-Bay several years ago. He and Peanut, his lady, now live in another kingdom not too far from Brahmalot.

He can be seen as a youngster in previous pages of this story.

Mork is beautiful. I think the solid whites are the most gorgeous. I remember him when he was just a youngster. He had little feathers that stuck up on his head. He was a cutie.

Thanks so much for sharing his pics and how is everyone else doing in Brahmalot?

I have just read the WHOLE thing! And WOW. When princess jiffy and prince Lucky died I thought this is just like a fairy tale they are together now! You should really wrote a book about your chickens, maybe a couple books! Lol.
I have a buff brahma bantam rooster (Pumpkin) and 3 buff brahma bantam hens. Pumpkin is the only rooster but not for long! His lady Marshmallow (white Cochin bantam) is hatching chicks on Friday! Can't wait!

It took a couple days, but I've read through everything- such an engaging story! I absolutely love it. Your chickens are awesome characters, and I love how you write about them.

Definitely staying tuned for more!

I agree it's a beautiful story. Do you have any updates for us when you get a chance? I would love to hear more about Brahmalot.

Sjisty, and others who raise Brahmas- about what age can you guys start to tell sex? I have 5, 3 week old strait run brahmas and none of them are giving me clues of gender! Where as my strait run Wyandotte chicks are starting to reveal sex by both looks and behavior.

It is difficult for this scribe to tell the gender of the children until they feather in, although there are sometimes hints. The boys tend to be taller and long-legged. Often they feather in more slowly. Darks and partridge are pretty obvious when they start to feather, as the two genders look very different from each other. Buffs are more difficult, and lights are the hardest.
