Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Queen Frack is on her way to a full recovery. I have been tube feeding her since Friday and giving her amoxicillin in her food. She is holding her head up more now and is moving around much more, and also pooping A LOT more. This morning she ate 11 mealworms on her own!

After today, this scribe will return to the world of Brahmalot, with confidence that the Queen will be rejoining her subjects soon. Long live the Queen!

Sijsty have you ever had a chicken that has had and entire chuck of skin torn of so you can see tendons underneath, if so did it survive, I'm asking because my Phoenix bantam has had the skin down the back of her neck ripped off, so my fingers are crossed for her

Back in August, Lady Hope was attacked by a stray dog. She had a patch under one wing about the size of the palm of a hand that was skinned. You could see tendons and muscles. It took a couple of months, but that area is now closed up. It may never grow feathers, but it is amazing what chickens can survive.

Sorry for that, Nickeyo. We shall get back to Brahmalot soon but wanted let you know that a few months ago my chicken was attacked by a fox but I was able to break her away in time. Under her wing was bruising and bite marks which I treated with Betadine everyday and let her be. I can't tell you how many months it took for her to be a real chicken again. Take care of your girl and treat the wounds and these birds seem to do the rest. NOW BACK TO THE NEVERENDING STORY OF BRAHMALOT. Let us know how Queen Frack is doing today..................

The Queen, newly recovered from her recent ordeal, is very unhappy to be separated from her subjects, but must stay in the infirmary for another few days.

One week ago -

Today, a much happier Queen.

Queen Frack will remain in the infirmary (although she no longer will stay in her "bed") for another three days of antibiotics. Also, many young and ambitious knights must go on quest this week so when Her Majesty rejoins her subjects, she is not pestered by their impetuous behavior.

Queen Frack enjoyed some time outside today. Her loyal subjects were happy to see her. While still quite weak, the Queen enjoyed a bit of a dirt bath,

taking a bit of time to rest.

King Samson was eager to welcome her back, but kept his distance so as not to harm her ...

While Prince Marco peeked from around the corner

Many of the ladies took pains to look their best before presenting themselves before the Queen.

After greeting and being greeted by many of the citizens of Brahmalot, Queen Frack was taken back to the infirmary for a royal dinner of mealworms. It will be several days before she is strong enough to leave her hospital bed permanently.

Awww...Yippee for queen frack. It's so nice when they are on the mend! Then the giant can rest better. What well behaved men to leave the queen alone! Can they give my men a lesson or two?
