Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

I've said it before (and was wrong) but I will say it again. I believe that, as all things must, despite the ups ands downs, end. I am unhappily stating what I believe all of us know in our hearts. Brahmalot, the incredible story of the kingdom under the trees has drawn its curtains. To the giants, I thank you for entertaining us with the antics of the kingdom. May the kingdom continue to thrive under the watchful eyes of king Xeke. Farwell my friends.

I also belive that when one story ends, another one begins. And here, I think we know where to look. I turn to those with royal offspring, whether they be from Brahmalot, seramalot, Wyandottealot, or polishalot. At least 1 pair of ears is open, and I have a sneaking suspicion that others may be listening as well.

The story of Brahmalot will never end. In trying not to totally bore our readers, posting is a bit less frequent than it was. There are new stories brewing, including the introduction soon of the kingdom's wizard!

In looking back at the earliest stories of Brahmalot, it is amazing to this scribe how many of the original citizens are still alive and well. Queen Frack is almost 9 years old. Ladies Blackie and Bertha, sisters, are around 10 years of age. Although Lady Bertha is not doing well, her sister, Lady Blackie, still lays an occasional egg and has raised many children. Lady Oreo, sister of the late King Rocky, is still well, although she now is crowing and obviously has an identity crisis. Lady Hope, who was viciously attacked by a stray almost four years ago, has healed and has layed many eggs since.

There are others, whose names escape this tired scribe's mind at the moment. Brahmalot boasts around 12 ladies who have retired or are semi-retired, ranging from 8 to 10 years old. They have faithfully given eggs and raised children for years and have earned the right to spend the rest of their days dust bathing and sunning in the peaceful loving arms of the kingdom!

There are also many citizens who are missed - RIP King Rocky, Lady Chrissie, Lady China, Lady Domino, Court Jester Romeo and his ladies Cindy and Juliet, Prince Lucky and Princess Peeps, and many more over the years.

I hope I can have such a wonderful long-lived chicken retirement contingent as Brahmalot someday. :) And I wonder if the identity crisis some hens experience comes more often with age- my oldest hen is 7 or so, and similarly is prone to crowing.

Your stories are never boring. I look every day for an update. Please don't close the curtains it would break my heart.

Thank you so much. You have a gift with words the story is just beautiful. I wish I could express myself in words the way you do.

I haven't had a chicken live that long, the first batch of chicks we ever had we got five years ago, there are only two left of the original 12.
