Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

The mamas and babies take some time outside the nursery, although Lady Lucy had to tell Wizard Zebulon he was definitely not allowed to practice magic on her babies! Lady Star and her baby, who is definitely not a Brahma (don't tell Star, but it really belongs to Lady FlopsyMopsyCottontail). Lady FlopsyMopsyCottontail enjoys some watermelon. Does she know she has a child? If she does, she is enjoying having someone else raise it for her! Lady Meanie enjoys a little watermelon with her baby.

Love the pics the mommas and the babies are so cute. Thats funny the mommas dont care what breed the babies are they claim them and protect them no matter what. Thanks for sharing the pics and the updates.

HA HA love it I dragged my husband to look at some chickens on a farm this last weekend and there were some that looked like the wizzared and I did not know what breed but I was so excited I Kept saying to my husband look it is the wizzared you know the wizzared the one on my backyard chicken page I showed you well he now thinks I have completely lost it.lol

Another sad report for Brahmalot. Today the citizens gather to say goodbye to their beloved Queen Frack. Almost from the day she arrived, she was the queen. She resided over not only the citizens of Brahmalot, but also ruled the neighboring Giants. It was because of Frack that this scribe realized these feathered people have distinct personalities and are capable of affection. The days when she came into the neighboring Giants' house to lay her eggs upstairs in their bed are fondly remembered. She even hatched seven children in the kitchen, marching them to the front door every morning and returning to the kitchen in the afternoon.

As she aged, our queen retired to the "nunnery" so she would not be bothered by kings and princes, where she lived in peace with Lady Oreo and another unnamed lady, both of whom passed this year. It appears that 10 is the age at which these ladies pass.

Rest in peace, my darling Frack - you were loved most of all!

In recent months, Brahmalot has lost four matrons; Lady Oreo, Lady Bertha, an unnamed lady, and now Queen Frack. The remaining senior citizens include Lady Blackie and Lady Buttercup, who are both older than Queen Frack, and another 8 or so 7-9 year old Ladies. Their long lives are celebrated, although it seems like all of Brahmalot's original citizens are dying at an alarming rate!

Meanwhile, the circle of life continues. Eight ladies have children presently, with several more ladies in waiting. It has certainly been a broody couple of months in Brahmalot!

These two cuties have emigrated from the land of Seramalot.
