Long sleepless night with a 1602N

The little fellers incubator will work fine and good luck to him as well

Just give it a bit of time to stabalize with the eggs in it and try to keep it in a room with stable temps

You should never adjust the temp upwards during the first 24 hours after setting all those cold eggs bring the temp down, it probably would have gone back to normal, good luck with the hatch

It takes awhile for a still air to come back up to temp after adding eggs. It may take 24hrs for a 1602 to get all the eggs up to 100 so it can hold temp. The bator was probably doing exactly what it needed to. Never touch the screw until you've watched the bator cycle on and off twice without the temp going up or down when it turns off. I've had very little trouble with my 1602n versus the equivalent lg. That one took me a week to get the temp set and I still had to fine tune for another 2 weeks after adding eggs.

The 104 temp spike probably did no harm. If it was only a couple hours or less and with the eggs being so early in incubation they will probably be fine.

wow-you sound like me--I have the 1602 and just put eggs in and the tempwent wayyy down-I posted and a very smart person told me to STEP AWAY FROM THE BATOR!!!! so I did--doesn't stop me from checking the temp though hahaha-I just wont touch the stupid dial that's annoying to me especially since I had to put it together and Im not handy like that-I can build a coop not a bator! next one will be the genesis 1588 next year!! good luck with you and your DS's hatch

I have the 1602n also and when i got the temp right and then put the eggs in it went down about 15 so i turned the dial to increase and then i went to check on it about abn hour later and it was up at 120degrees! i turned it back down and now my eggs are ready to hatch this sunday so i dont think your hatch was completely ruined!
