Hello, our Rhode island red whom is about 3 years old has constant watery poop. She is slow in the morning, then does move around more later. She eats and drinks okay but is loosing weight quickly. She also won't go into the roost at night on her own. Very fowl smelling diarrhea. Currently waiting on a worm test result. It seems our last few chicks from the box stores are not very healthy for very long, is this pretty common? Thank you.

Another symptoms along with this is twitching of head often, and pecking at things that aren't there ...

What's her diet? Let us know what the fecal says.
Negative for worm's. I researched and it seemed possible sour crop. Treated her for that and she started to do better. Today she refuses food and water, and won't stand ... Heartbroken watching her suffer... She's not old and the rest of the flock is fine .. before today she was drinking a lot of water, but it ran through her immediately... Even nutri drench just ran through her. Sadly looks like she's not going to make it.

We dewormed them about a month ago, and every other month put a natural dewormer in their food.
There isn't a "natural" dewormer out there that will actually rid worms.
It usually only takes about 5 minutes to run a fecal exam for different worms. Has the vet gotten back to you yet?

When was the last/most recent time you brought a new bird home?

Negative for worm's. We did use an actual dewormer on them. The "natural stuff" is just in their food and is for their health supposedly... mixture of herbs and cayenne, red pepper, something like that. The bird died Saturday.
