First time poster!

I figured it's about time I join the group that has helped me start to raise chickens. I have 22 chickens, varying breeds and ages. Cheers to our feathered friends! 🍻
Me too. I e used this forum for a while to help me make decisions, and gain knowledge. Now I'm joining the fun.
We live rural, so rural the internet hasn't quite got here. And no satellites don't work cause we got trees and they aren't mine to demon for better signal. And it's great, until the Summer Tourons come up. They come on holiday weekends, blow up stuff, get drunk and rowdy and make a mess and then go home. They don't understand homesteading I work on this place all the times and don't have downtimes really. Well, it's called winter and it's less down time, more cabin fever projects.
Anyway, we have had quail, we love, Guineas, we love more, and a lone turkey who I miss. Now we have chickens which, I'm mixed on. But we do what we can. They are all bargain chickens, I get what was free or reduced and we go from there. I'm not really into purebreeds. My dogs aren't, I'm not, and those bloodlines just don't do it for me. Someday we want sheep and cows, but I think I'll need to move away from Tourist areas first.
