We just obtained 17 chicks from a local hardware store. We have 7 Buff orpingtons and 10 Black Jersey Giants. When we bought them they were about a week old.

Day 2 of chicks has been so fun to watch their attempts a flight and strutting their stuff.

I have been reading BYC off and on for years, dreaming of owning my own babies. Now that we have made the plunge, I know I can count on this community for support.
