Longest egg laying streak...

The streaks continue... 48 & 44, plus another one added yesterday! I guess that means it is 48, 44 & 1. The pic below is the loot from yesterday. The new layer's egg is in the middle next to the veterans.

We don't have any good streaks going now all our girls decided to take a break over the past few days... Looking at my egg tracker for December, we got 85 eggs from 4 hens!!!   Whats awesome is they all started laying in that first week of December!

PeggySue, just thought about your comment of having gotten 85 eggs from 4 gals in December... I just realized my 2 girls gave me 62 in December, guess I cannot complain.

LOL when the end of the month came along... I was like NO WAY... but numbers don't lie when you update the tracker daily!!!

Today makes 60 & 56 straight days with no misses...

We have 17 hens and ours started laying in Oct?? and ours haven't given us less than 8-10 eggs a day since then. Since the beginning of December we've been averaging a dozen a day, and starting this week we've been getting 13-15 a day! They are now paying for their own feed.

Today marks 70 & 66 straight for the original two. The third one that was laying every day has held out for the last four days.

I think my new streaks are who can hold out the longest before laying their egg

My WL molted and hasn't laid in over 2 months, my silky won't stop going broody and my LavOrps are now molting. With 9 layers I'm getting only 0-4 eggs a day and no one is on a laying streak.

Can't wait for Spring!!!!!

So, we are up to 84 & 80 straight days...

I thought I was going to have to report the end of one of the runs, but it was a false alarm. I went out Friday to "collect rent" and only found 2 eggs (one large one and one from the girl who's eggs are smaller and come every other day); BUT, Saturday, I went out to find 3 of the large eggs (I guess the gal with the sense of humor decided to lay one later in the day after I left the day before), so back to an egg a day status!
