Longest you've stored eggs before incubating and had a decent hatch?

Would like to hear some results from folks out there.

Wondering how your hatches have gone
from eggs that were more than a week old when you started them ?
I've read that at around 10 old they start to lose hatchability.
I'm going to set some today that will now be close to 16 days old.
Been keeping them cool and hoping for the best.

I can only tell you about guineas and ducks at this point cause this is my first year to hatch my own peas but 10 day old eggs hatched just fine.
I have duck that have layed 19 eggs before sitting and every one of them hatched and I had a guinea that layed 21 eggs and left the nest with 15 , I got all but the last 2 of the left behind to hatch so 19 days for those eggs, however in both cases the weather was dipping down into the 40's and 50's at night and never got over 75 in the day. Had the weather been warmer the hatch rate would have gone way down IMO cause the cool weather helps keep them fresh.

It depends on the weather as zazouse stated. I have held chicken eggs for 10-12 days and had decent hatches when the weather is cool. I have not tried it with peafowl eggs as they are more valuable to me. I can tell you that we only set once a week with peafowl eggs so we hold eggs seven days with no problems even in the heat.

I have one egg that was laid on 5/25 and hatched 7/9 and another egg that was laid 5/25 and hatched 7/11. one laid 5/22 and hatched 7/8 and another laid 5/26 hatched 7/8. So about 19-20 day old eggs will hatch

ok, thanks for the input from you all ...my eggs are cooking now with the oldest one being 16 days at set time , will try and remember to post here how they do.

I just looked at my notes and I have one that sat for 17 or 18 days before I set it under a hen and as of yesterday it looked viable.
