Looks Easter Egger-ish to me. An EE is a bird mixed with Ameraucana and another breed. EE's lay blue, green, brown, or pink eggs or various shades in between.
It does also look a lot like "howfunkyisyourchicken's" picture.
She is NOT an EE. She's a quail d'Anvers. I like her. She's pretty! If you like her, you can get more Quail d'Anvers and start your own little breeding flock. I would get a few more hens as well as a roo, though, so she can keep her back feathers.
She is so cute and tiny! I agree with mama24, if you had a roo and one more hen it might be better so she wouldnt bet bred quite as often. If you couldnt find that type of roo you could always get another type of bantam roo, mixes are cute and you never know what your going to get.
and you dont have to get a roo, another hen will make a good companion, but if you get roo get 1 or 2 other hens
The breed doesnt matter much, all you need know is how nice she is to other chickens (if you know) or how dominate she is, you can mix breeds, unless you want some pure breed eggs
Yea she is the sweetest chick ever, she dose not mess with any one and comes right up to me and picks at my shoes. She is my fave but dont let my other know that lol. I had 4 others like her but she is the only one that made it. I am going to get around 3 other hens and a roo. I was just wanting to get the same kind for maby the same temperment and size. Thanks all for the help!
