Look at my little mutant!

    This little feller is 3 days old and we just noticed his toes. Mom is a Silkie and dad is a Light Brahma. We were expecting 5 toes. He has four toes on one foot and five on the other! His sibling has five on each foot. Weird!

    Four toes on the foot on the left, five on the foot on your right.

    I heard the 4/5 toe-thing was relatively common with silkies and silkie crossbreeds, but I dunno.


    I know that my sizzles are REALLY prone to sticking their toes where they don't belong, and losing toes/toenails that way [​IMG]

    We just hatched a Silkie-Americauna mix last night that had 5 toes on the left and 4 on the right [​IMG]

    I think its interesting he/she seems to have slightly webbed feet, unless that is normal...
