I took a drive this weekend and happened to notice an OLD trailer on the side of the road.

As I got closer, I saw what I'm pretty sure is a chicken coop?

So I came home, looked it up on the assessor's website and it belongs to one of our neighbors (they are 2/3 of a mile up the road from us). It has been vacant for years (probably 20+)

It's in disrepair but may be salvageable?

I was thinking of calling them up and asking if I could have it...

I'm not sure though, if it's able to be moved?

I have no idea what the inside is like or if it's on blocks or built into the ground....

Why not, what do you have to loose? Ask if you can take a look and tell them you'll take it off their hands

The most they can do is say no.

Wow... that would make a nice looking coop. True you could use it for parts, but from the pictures I think you would want to put it back together as is.

take it apart in panels, or brace the heck out of it with lumber and raise it up with blocks so you can slide a trailer under it. Looks like a nice building (love the weathered wood coloring)
