Look at what I just found hanging out with the chickens in the coop...

cute and cuddly, but when grown they will also eat the chickens so don't let it fool you. lock the chicks up tight at night.

Many years ago, I raised 5 baby possums whose mother had been hit on the highway. Tiny things but they thrived on KMR (kitten milk). When they got bigger I transferred them to an outside cage and guess what their favorite foods were? Yep, chicken and eggs. After they got big enough to fend for themselves I took them to a vet in a city about 30 miles away. He took in wild creatures to rehabilitate and release in a game preservation area. Tried not to treat them like pets so they would keep their wild instincts, but they sure were soft, sweet little ones. However, their looks didn't improve as they grew. Ha!

Every year I have to trap and dispose of a possum or two, but I don't regret raising those babies.
