Sorry, I had to go to bed early and miss this. They are some cute little things. Congrats on the hatch. Wow, Roger, you are serious about the Orps. I can't believe I still have bators running this year. I usually on hatch in the fall and winter and just let the hens do the Spring an summer hatching.
I think we are going to have to start eating someYoung Orp roos, I have four out of a Fl line and have decided which one I am keeping.
With the price of chick feed here I need to quite feeding them and do something else since I am not going to keep them. I have heard they make good table fare but can you believe it, we have never dressed out one of the Orps.
I gave a preacher friend from Kentucky 6 pullets and sold three more so I am downsized on the pullets as far as I can go. I have two black ones that are a little over two months and they are looking very good. I still have Orps in the bator and young chicks though. I hatched some blues from Fl and one black about two weeks ago. Have two hens with chicks and one setting on some.
I think we are all having to much fun.

Adorable little ones.
I have BamaChicken eggs in the hatcher right now. Then my bator is taking a break.
I have 13 blue orps on the ground now and then whatever I get from my hatch...
I have maybe 15 BLRW..........
15 silkies
2 mutts
5 cochins
2 slw chicks I hatched from my birds
2 turkens and my original flock of
12....yiks In one years time I have gone chicken crazy.....
Do I need an intervention???
