BTW, it is pretty good validation of the trend toward raising backyard chickens when stories like this pop up in magazines like this.

Funny is that the article uses the BYC forum membership to represent the total number of peeps that own chickens in America. Two problems:

1) While super huge, the BYC community is just a tiny percentage of peeps that own chickens (we really should do something about that)
2) We're way over 60k members (that was soooooo 8 months ago)

I'm surprised it is still there too. Usually they rotate out those links and images pretty quickly. It must have a high click through rate.
