Here are some pix of what we got this morning! Wow! so exciting and we are betting that big one is a triple yolker--we have had two of those so far. My son's shirt is the logo for our "egg company" --Beta Theta Peep--

I don't know who laid it, but I have some generic brown chickens--I think they are RIR or ISA browns. I have a black sexlink, a silkie banty, a giant cochin and a blue splash red laced wyandotte, but those are too young yet to be laying. I *think* it's my bird who I call "Big Mama". She isn't our biggest chicken but she has the biggest comb, and she acts like the boss of the world.

Really? If we didn't just eat a really nice supper, I would break it open and see how many yolks it has--but I have a few people I am trying to entice to buy eggs next summer when they are here at the lake, so maybe the novelty of having one huge egg would be a smarter move.

It is a biggie, tho, huh? And all wrinkled at one end--so does that mean it was so big, that one end was in the shell making part and the other end was shoved thru to make room for it all, thus the wrinkles?
