I have had 2 squishies in my chicken life. I found them under the roost in the morning. Very strange. It almost seems as if they slip out while they are sleeping. They are very good about laying in the nest boxes, so finding them under the roost is odd. Also, it happened when they first started laying - hasn't happened since. Hope you don't get too many - they are hard to sell. ha, ha.

Squishy: that's funny. I got one a couple of weeks ago, and of course I didn't realize it until I picked it up and my thumb went right through the darned thing! Ooops. It was a good reminder that I hadn't given my girls their cottage cheese in a while.

With our first flock several years ago we got some soft shelled eggs:

A shel-less egg would be like a cracked open egg - we have gotten those as well....makes a mess in the nest boxes.
