This is my squishy, and I will call you squishy because you are squishy.

When I was young we put an egg in a jar of vinegar for a few days and it became "squishy". Now when one of my hens lays a soft one, ( usually after a long free ranging eating greens ) I give her oyster shells

but I guess you knew that

Once in a while one of my birds will lay a shell-less egg like that. (Even with free feed oyster shell) As long as it doesn't break I usually hard boil it and feed it back to them. Unfortunately, someone usually ends up stepping on it and making a mess...

One of my hens specializes in shell less eggs. In fact, hers are shell less more often than not. Most of them get broken by someone before I can collect them, but sometimes I get to pick them up. Last week she laid a shell less egg that had an extra membrane around it. That sucker weighed two ounces and had no yolk at all!
