Oh my goodness!!! I finally got my first egg today! And I must say, it's a beauty! Thelma, the White Leghorn, really made me proud. My youngest son Nathan, aka my chicken helper, checked the nest boxes and came in smiling like the Cheshire cat! Can't wait to see if she produces again tomorrow!

Yay!! It is so exciting to get that first egg, isn't it? Crossing my fingers for another egg tomorrow!

I do believe our first is a wind egg! We put it over a light to see the yolk and there isn't one that we can see. It weighs in at exactly 42g, so I'm curious to see how big one with a yolk will weigh!
