Look out Kentucky....Here we come!

So glad you are all having a great time and thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. Aren't BYC people the best?! Be safe and keep us updated!

we have arrived home safely and tired! a good tired.

the updates... yes, we sure did see the manatees! they were incredible! i actually started falling asleep watching them on a bench. it was so relaxing!

yesterday we went on a Duck Boat ride. a vehicle that can drive on land and float in water. it was a riot. Hannah got to drive the boat a bit!
there was a tour guide and we learned a lot about Cinci and Newport.

we then headed towards home but made a neat stop on the way there.
the St. Charles Seminary and Monastery. it is now used as a retirement home but, there is a chicken farm on site. Father Paul was watching and working the farm but put a call into Terry to let him know we had arrived. Father Paul was camera shy! we tried to get him to mug it up, but he's a shy fella! he has a great smile...wish you could all see it. Father Paul knew a ton about the history of the town and the Monastery. it was like having a personal and FREE tour guide.

we got to meet BYC member scbirdfarm, aka Terry Staugler and his lovely wife, Katie. talk about some nice and down to earth people!

we bought some hatching eggs and 4 little floofy Silkies! they went out of their way to come out to the farm after a long day at work. thank you for welcoming us Staugler family.

now we are catching up the lawn mowing and house work. what a great vacation. we'll never forget the memories and friendships made. we were blessed beyond measure by hospitality.

i wonder what will be next....Indiana maybe???

Welcome home! I DO know where that is! It's about 1/2 hour north of us-we just always refer to it as Carthagena. It is a beautiful place, I would love to tour it sometime.

yes! Carthegena. the place of carnage. it was a final stop in the underground railroad! isn't that amazing? Father Paul gave us all sorts of interesting history tidbits about it!

you should so go see it! a lovely town. a ton of beautiful Catholic churches that would be beautiful to tour as well as underground railroad sites etc.

He was very sick yesterday and the vet said he has a very infected tummy, but thanks god he will be ok in few days, they had to make a blod test for him, and I am so busy these dry days, so Angela has to take care of him.
