My wonderful amazing fantastic great handy sweet fabulous hubby is building me a new coop for my “vultures” to grow up in.

Today he also made a “look no touch” box for integrating my newbies!(a leghorn and two cream legbars):clap

These are the “vultures” currently invading the dog kennel. (Mostly going to be meat birds but might keep a couple to see how they lay)

Wow, it’s going to be great!

It looks great but....
Imo there are two options when building a coop; you can either sink them in the ground, or build them high off the ground. The reason for this is rats, mice, and other predators can hid under a coop build just a bit off the ground and you can't inspect the underside of the coop for damage.
So, my rule is at least a couple of feet off the ground or sunk in properly.
Obviously it's too late now but you need to think about how you are going to make absolutely sure nothing can get under the floor. It's not as easy as it sounds.

We had reasons for building the way we did, but thanks!

It is wonderful...look at the big roof overhangs...and fly rafters too(be still my heart!)

As far as the gap underneath, a wire mesh apron should help keep critters out.
It's not as easy as it sounds.
Not that hard.
Good examples of anti-dig apron installation:
