Isn't that a garter snake? Once we found our compost pile full of baby rat snakes. Guess the heat was a great place to incubate babies, just not the type we usually incubate, LOL.
Altho I am NOT a snake fan...I do believe what you have there is a Ribbon Snake. We have them here in Indiana...and LOTS of people think they are Garden snakes. They are in the same family...non poisonious....they eat grasshoppers, small frogs, and insects. It IS a cutie...but I think I would have had to change my pants, if I found one.
