look what i found! seagull eggs!

Yes I too would blow out at least a few. So do you just say, heck I'm gonna go egg hunting today, the same as if I say heck, I'm gonna go fishing today? Is it just like a natural everyday thing over there to do this?

we're only allowed to gather eggs once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. and yeah it's kinda like "lets go fishing!" we just get up and go! my mom and i were sitting here in the house and it was a BEAUTIFUL day but i was bored. and she jokingly said we should go get some seagull eggs. i was like OKAY LETS GO I'LL GET MY BOOTS!

I love people like you. They just take what they need and leave something for a thank you to the animal that provided what was needed. Great job and very interesting also. Thanks for sharing.

aww, thanks. i was raised in a native village and to us it is very important not to take more than you need.

even when we go out hunting we pay our respects to the animal we killed both before & after we butcher it. the way we see it, if we aren't respectful about it we won't be able to get anymore caribou or moose of what have you.

I agree. This was really interesting. I love learning about how other people live in different parts of the world; Alaska sounds like a really fascinating and beautiful place.

I think you should let one of your hens sit on one of the seagul eggs and hatch it. Then let the hen raise it and see iffin if acts like a chicken. I wonder iffin it will eat layer pellets or would you have to throw bait in there all the time?
