Look what i found today in the Rhea Pen. 3-27-11

Oh, if only I lived in Texas! LOL, I'm thinking Ohio weather wouldn't be a good thing for a Rhea........I looked at your website and it was very nice!

Wow, I'll bet you'd have breakfast for four in just one of those Rhea eggs........

About breakfast for four... Its more like 6 to 8 people, especially if you add tomatoes, mushrooms, spinich, cheese, onions, and patatoes... YUM!!!!

Also, My Male Rhea is already Brooding the 2 eggs... He litterally looks like a snake in the grass... LOL

OMG!! Your Rhea is pied! What a BEAUTIFUL bird!!!! I have wanted a rhea for a long time.... Hubby unfortunately doesn't. I look forward to watching this thread as he incubates the eggs and hatching time!

Thanks... Im kinda wondering, with 4 hens.... how many eggs will I get this year... and will "Thor", my 1st male Rhea, be able to cover them all? If not, will "Bruno", my second Male Rhea make a 2nd nest?

Ive seen all the rheas working the nest and cleaning it, but only Thor and Bruno will sit on the eggs. Both males get along great and it looks like they share the responsiblity.
