Look what im getting for FREE

After posting an ad for a chicken coop wanted on craigslist, i finally got an email from someone not too far from me willing to give me their chicken coop for free! they said that they built it and never used it. Here it is:

The shingles were getting torn off because they made it too heavy to move around.

A view of the easily accessible inside with two nest boxes and a string to bring the door up at night.

Here is what i plan on making it into, not positive yet though.

Any suggestions on what else i can do with this? I think it may turn out too heavy to move around the yard. Will putting this attachment on make it into a suitible stationary coop? how many bantams can i fit in here? I cant wait to get started!

Thats neat - looks like its been standing out for a while.

The ramp looks like it needs som ekind of grippy things on it or they'll just slide out and not be able to get back in!

If its too heavy I'd leave it in one place, and make a nice big run all the way around it - just fence it in if you have the space..... make the run tall enough so you can get in and out without hunching over.

Great Find! When you find something really cool for free, even if it needs a little work... doesn't it just make you want to..

!

When adding the back part on, It might be unstable toward the middle to move it...might be too long. Just a thought.

After putting the added area on i think i will just make it a stationary coop. How many bantams do you think would fit in here? not sure of the demensions though, so i guess its too hard to tell lol.

Im located in Northern new jersey. So yes, it gets very cold here.

with the run I say 5 or 6 but roosting time is going to be a killer
