Wow like everyone said look at those feet. Made for one thing only! Very cool hope it gets to rejoin its parents or finds a mate of its own.

Fantastic! We have a breeding pair of white spotted barn owl's here near my work. I come to work before the dawn every day and they will sit on the fence post's and just wait to fly right in front of me, they scare the bejesus outa me when they do that, but they are WAY cool animals.

That is such a gorgeous bird!!!! Congrats on the save

Hopefully the raptor rehab can place it back in the nest? I had some customers come in years ago to a convenience store I was managing at the time. The 2 ladies delivered newspapers in the area so they got up really early. They came in frantic that morning saying there was an owl in the road. I grabbed a milk crate and off I went to see what I was dealing with. The baby had fallen out of the nest and like yours hasn't learned to fly yet. The parents were swarming me while I picked up the little one and placed it in the milk crate. I called the wildlife rehab center in this area and they picked up the baby barn owl and placed it right back in the nest.

Awesome, truely Awesome

My sig line has a link to a pair of Barn Owls raising a family of 4 in a CA backyard. The humans have two cameras in the owl box - one day, one night and a camera outside of the box to see the parents coming and going. The amount of rodent that an owl eats it truely amazing - I am so very thankful for them.

We have a family of Great Horned who love to hang out on top of our roof. One of the adults will hunt and catch rabbits within a 100 feet of me when I am out and about at night (scared the snot out of me the first time the owl came "out of no where" and caught a cottontail).
