Look what we ended up with last night

I've been actively volunteering in the field of dog and cat rescue for more than a dozen years so my hubby barely blinks when I bring home a new dog.

However we have only kept......................six. Three cats.

I won't bore you with all the stories but just wanted to say thank goodness for animals that there are people out there with soft hearts!

The mini rex is a broken Opal, very pretty.

lets see the only thing I ended up keeping I wasnt planning on was my grandadughters Chinchilla. everything else was either planned on or an I have got to have type critter' right down to the Malamutes and the Barking rat.

can you find the barking rat?

I've had a few..

One day driving home from work, as we crested a hill we saw the car in front of us straddle a kitten. The mother was dead along the side of the road. We stopped dead in the road..blocking traffic and brought the little black n white feller home. He became a barn cat.

Another time I was walking my mastiff on my property, I kept hearing a mewing sound... despirate mewing sound... so I followed the sound. Out of no where, this tiny, eyes so crusted shut he couldn't see, tiger kitten came running up to me. It was fall and very cold. So I shoved him in my coat and snuck him in the house, cleaned him up and, gave him some warm milk and called my husband in to see him... I thought he'd be on my side and want to find a home elsewhere for him (I'm not a cat fan) but no, we ended up with a house cat. He wasn't right at some point cause he started attacking us and the dogs...after a few $$ vet bills we gave him a new home.

And then there's this guy.

Started out we were fostering him for rescue....... but he fit so well in our family... he's never left.
