I love it! I had no idea hatcheries would send adult birds! Does save you the problem of brooding chicks. Awesome!

Welcome to the wonderful world of chickens - they look great! I have a couple of RSL's in my flock and I love them, nice personalities and they're egg laying machines. I would take a couple more pictures of their run with grass in it, though, cuz it won't last long!

Wow! beautiful Chickens and an egg already!! You said they came in the mail? I didnt know that the post office would deliver live birds that old...awesome! Did they have to overnight them? When our first batch of eggs came the mailman came walking up the driveway to the door, and I could see him holding the box up to his ear. When he got to the door he said "Can you believe this???? It says hatching chicks on the box! I listened and listened several times but I couldnt hear anything

Just last week we had that same delivery guy and he asked about the eggs again! I had to tell him how many of the eggs had hatched ond how they were doing...he stayed so long I think he was wanting me to get them so he could see

My mail lady did the same thing. I had left her a note tell her I was expecting a box of hatching eggs and asked if she would bring them to the house instead of leaving them at the end of our 250' driveway as they were fragile & cold sensitive. When the eggs got here she was really worried as she could not hear chicks peeping and thought they had died. I explained how they were eggs to hatch ~ although she had delivered many boxes of live peeps she had no idea that hatching eggs were sent through the mail. I did gift her with a dozen eating eggs for her great service!
