He's 5 days old today. He was very weak when we brought him up, and as far as I know didn't get any colostrum from his mom, we tubed him some, but it was very close to the cut off time for it to benefit him. Not really sure what went wrong, his mom didn't reject him, and should still happily take him back. He's doing really well right now, he's bright and alert, and very currious about everything, the only problem is we haven't been able to get him to eat. If we can get him eating I think he'll be fine! And the plan is to give him back to his mom, if that doesn't work out he'll be a bottle (or bucket, whatever works) baby and I'll bet my dad will give him to me (I always get the problem babies).
He's really small, I think the second smallest I've had (mine or not).
He could be castrated and make a good pet! The only problem w/ that is I already have a pet steer and I was told NO MORE! So I'm not really sure what I'll do if I end up with him, we'll just have to cross that bridge when we get there.
