$20.... But what exactly are you hoping him to do in this situation? Be a sacrifice, or as a breeder?
I ask because I just reread your original post. A rooster isn't going to do much against a dog or a hawk, except die. He might warn the flock, but no earlier than your head hen.

Both but the sacrifice part is not like putting a rooster in the open I have lots of hiding spots and if it did touch the rooster I would be hitting the hawk with the closest item I can grab rate now I currently am ordering my chickens protective vests
